Quality First Line Manager (QFLM) Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality First Line Manager (QFLM) to join our team at Finsbury Food Group. As a QFLM, you will be responsible for ensuring information on food safety and product quality is continuously shared and understood by the appropriate teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate food safety and quality incidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Conduct regular internal audits of site operations, covering areas such as CCPs, hygiene, documentation, GMP, foreign bodies, glass, PPE, and allergens.
  • Work closely with Operations to investigate customer complaints, providing feedback to relevant teams and implementing corrective actions.
  • Manage micro and nutritional databases, reporting, investigating, escalating, and resolving issues.
  • Conduct daily end-of-line taste panels on finished products, recording and reporting results.
  • Carry out various tests, such as pH testing, allergen testing, ERH testing, weight control, check weighing, calibration, and verification.

Requirements

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and influence others.
  • Excellent attention to detail and investigation skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously, flexibly, and proactively, taking ownership and accountability of role and tasks.
  • Experience with MS Excel and MS Office, including Word and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of BRC and customer codes of practice.
  • Experience of working in a GMP environment.
  • A strong awareness of food safety and allergen controls.
