Job Title: CCTV and Control Room Operator
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a CCTV and Control Room Operator. As a key member of our public safety team, you will be responsible for providing efficient and effective proactive CCTV and Control Room monitoring services to assist with the reduction of anti-social behavior, crime, and the fear of crime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor CCTV systems and respond to incidents in a timely and professional manner.
- Operate control room equipment and communicate with other teams and agencies as required.
- Provide excellent customer service and respond to public inquiries and complaints.
- Work collaboratively with other teams to achieve shared objectives and improve public safety.
- Stay up-to-date with legislative and regulatory changes and adapt procedures accordingly.
Requirements:
- Good level of literacy and numeracy.
- Proficiency in use of IT systems, particularly Microsoft Word, Outlook, and/or case management tools.
- Experience of dealing sympathetically with public inquiries and complaints.
- Strong powers of concentration and excellent eyesight.
- Ability to analyze and evaluate information and make effective decisions and prioritize tasks calmly and safely under pressured and emergency situations.
- Ability to work as part of a team under minimal supervision, showing a willingness to assist others and a commitment to meeting the objectives of the team.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Torfaen and Monmouthshire County Borough area.
- SIA CCTV License.
- Experience of working in a control room environment and operating CCTV surveillance systems and radio communication equipment.
- Experience of multi-agency partnership working.
