We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic hard-working and conscientious individual to provide CCTV and control duties. 

To ensure the provision of an efficient and effective proactive CCTV and Control Room monitoring services to assist with the reduction of anti-social behavior, crime and the fear of crime, in accordance with specified operating procedures and code of practice being responsive to legislative and regulatory change. 

This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Application to the Disclosure & Barring Service.

Qualifications / Experience:

Essential

Demonstrates a good level of literacy and numeracy. Demonstrate proficiency in use of IT systems, particularly Microsoft Word, Outlook, and /or case management tools. Experience of dealing sympathetically with public enquires and complaints. Strong powers of concentration and excellent eyesight. Demonstrates the ability to analyse and evaluate information and to make effective decisions and prioritise task calmly and safety under pressured and emergency situations. Demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team under minimal supervision, showing a willingness to assist others and a commitment to meeting the objective of the team.

Desirable

Knowledge of Torfaen & Monmouthshire County Borough area. SIA CCTV License. Experience of working in a control room environment and operating CCTV surveillance systems and radio communication equipment. Experience of multi-agency partnership working.
