Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate a good level of literacy and numeracy.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in the use of IT systems, particularly Microsoft Word, Outlook, and/or case management tools.
  • Experience of dealing sympathetically with public inquiries and complaints.
  • Strong powers of concentration and excellent eyesight.
  • Demonstrate the ability to analyze and evaluate information and to make effective decisions and prioritize tasks calmly and safely under pressured and emergency situations.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team under minimal supervision, showing a willingness to assist others and a commitment to meeting the objectives of the team.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Torfaen and Monmouthshire County Borough area.
  • SIA CCTV License.
  • Experience of working in a control room environment and operating CCTV surveillance systems and radio communication equipment.
  • Experience of multi-agency partnership working.
