Remedy Education is seeking a Behaviour Specialist to support students with mild Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in their learning and development.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have relevant qualifications, basic knowledge of Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND), and experience working directly with young people in an education or training environment. The role involves providing 1:1 support to a student with mild ASD, developing resources and teaching strategies, and contributing to a supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide individualized support to a student with mild ASD, adapting to their needs and abilities.
  2. Develop and implement effective resources and teaching strategies to support the student's learning and development.
  3. Collaborate with teachers to provide regular feedback on the student's progress and achievement.
  4. Support the student's personal needs, including social, health, physical, and welfare matters.
Requirements

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Relevant qualifications in special education or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of SEND principles and practices.
  • Experience working with young people with challenging behaviors.
  • Awareness of Health and Safety issues in the workplace.
Estimated Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum
