Supporting Students with Complex Needs:

We are seeking an experienced SEN teaching assistant to join our team at NYKays Ltd, a specialist school catering to children with complex needs. The successful candidate will work closely with our experienced teaching staff to provide individualized support to our students, promoting their academic, social, and emotional development.

Key Areas of Responsibility:
  • Providing one-to-one support to students with PMLD and ASD, adapting teaching strategies to meet individual needs
  • Assisting in the classroom, helping teachers to deliver personalized lesson plans
  • Assisting with personal care needs, including washing, dressing, and toileting
  • Implementing behavioural strategies to promote positive behaviour and manage challenging behaviour
  • Maintaining accurate records of student progress and reporting to teachers as necessary
  • Participating in Safeguarding and Child Protection procedures, ensuring the well-being and safety of all students
