About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Operations Manager to join our team at Archers Recruitment. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for leading and developing the transactional accounting team, ensuring processes are continually reviewed to optimize efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the transactional accounting team to ensure processes are continually reviewed and optimized for efficiency.
  • Partner with the local and UK Management Team to provide real-time support and analysis to add value and drive commercially focused decisions.
  • Lead the legal entity budgeting and forecasting processes to Group reporting deadlines, implementing improvements to balance sheets forecasting to enhance accuracy.
  • Ensure complete, accurate, and timely monthly management reporting to the group.
  • Ensure all relevant year-end reporting is complete for group and site, adhering to deadlines, including management of the legal entity audits.
  • Ensure all statutory and fiscal reporting for the site is completed to relevant deadlines.
  • Ensure a robust control environment is maintained both in finance and the wider business.
  • Provide hand-on support for the team in times of holiday cover and busy periods, including cash/invoice postings, VAT, and other ad-hoc duties.
  • Fulfill current gaps in skills and train out as appropriate, i.e., depreciation, VAT, consolidation files, including absorption and Mills journal.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis and projects as needed by the unit.

Essential Experience/Qualifications

  • Experience of working within a manufacturing environment.
  • Qualified Accountant with several years post-qualification experience.
  • SAP/SAGE/BCP (or similar ERP) experience.

Desirable

  • Systems implementation experience.
  • SAGE experience would be helpful.
