Care Coordinator Specialist

About The Role
We are seeking a dedicated Care Coordinator to join our team at The New Lodge Nursing Home. As a compassionate and empathetic individual, you will be responsible for developing and implementing engaging activities that promote social interaction, mental stimulation, and physical well-being among residents in assisted living and nursing home settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver a diverse range of activities tailored to the interests and abilities of residents, ensuring inclusivity for all.
- Collaborate with care staff to assess individual resident needs and preferences, adapting activities accordingly.
- Facilitate group activities such as arts and crafts, games, music sessions, and exercise classes to encourage participation and socialisation.
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment during all activities, ensuring the well-being of residents at all times.
- Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and staff to promote upcoming events and gather feedback on activities.
- Document participation levels and outcomes of activities to evaluate their effectiveness and make necessary adjustments.
- Organise special events that provide opportunities for residents to engage with the wider community.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a care setting.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- A genuine passion for working with people and enhancing their quality of life through meaningful activities.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility in approach.
- Creative thinking skills to develop innovative activity ideas that cater to various interests.
- Relevant qualifications in health care or social services would be an advantage but are not essential.
What We Offer
A competitive salary of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package including training and development opportunities.
