SNAP Care is recruiting a Specialist SEN Care Professional to support a young lady with complex needs in Nottingham. This challenging yet rewarding opportunity offers a competitive salary of £17.00 gross per hour, rising to £18.00 after a successful probation period.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of communication methods, such as Eye Gaze and Yes/No communication, as well as experience working with individuals with cerebral palsy, epilepsy, and dystonia.

This role requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team, providing 35 hours of support per week. The successful candidate will also benefit from excellent person-centered training, continued professional development, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing personal care and support to the young lady
  • Assisting with daily activities, such as mobility and medication management
  • Encouraging participation in wheelchair dance classes and other leisure activities

Requirements:

  • Specialist SEN Care Professional with experience working with complex care requirements
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
  • Basic knowledge of communication methods, such as Eye Gaze and Yes/No communication
