Sales Development Director

Established over 35 years, our client is a well-respected full-service hydraulic company providing expert support across the UK and Ireland. With numerous centres nationwide, they deliver an exceptional service to their customers.
About the RoleWe are seeking a highly driven Sales Development Director to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for managing and developing customer portfolios within your assigned sectors, including Rail, Food & Beverage, Manufacturing, Environmental, Material Handling or Pharmaceutical.
Your primary objective will be to identify new sales opportunities, build strong relationships with existing clients, and promote our services to a high standard. You will also be tasked with conducting sales training and development programs to ensure that our team has the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in these sectors.
To achieve this, you will need to research, network, and contact new and existing clients to create opportunities to develop business. You will also attend meetings and industry events to stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a portfolio of accounts, providing excellent customer service.
- Identify sales opportunities within bespoke sectors.
- Build strong relationships with existing clients and identify opportunities to cross-sell and upsell.
- Establish new business and reconnect with lapsed clients.
- Promote our services to a high standard, representing our brand effectively.
- Conduct sales training and development programs to ensure that our team has the necessary skills and knowledge.
- Attend meetings and industry events to stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments.
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Sales Development Director who has extensive knowledge of the rail, food & beverage, manufacturing, environmental, material handling, or pharmaceutical industries. You will also need:
- A full UK driving license.
We offer a competitive salary of £50,000 - £55,000 (Basic) plus up to 20% bonus. Other benefits include:
