Play Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Play Specialist to join our team in the Paediatric Ward at Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality, holistic play services to children and their families, ensuring all children have access to play while in hospital.
Main Responsibilities
Key duties of the role include planning play programmes to enable children and young people to understand, accept, and coordinate with treatment. You will work closely with our paediatric team to provide a supportive and engaging environment for our young patients.
Requirements
- Experience working as a hospital play specialist
- Experience working with a multidisciplinary team
- Evidence of good communication skills with children and young people
- Understanding of children's safeguarding procedures
- BTEC Certificate in Hospital Play Specialism or HPSC/HPSEB or Foundation Degree in Health Care Play Specialism
- Registration with SOHPs
