About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Nurse to join our team as a Ward Manager on Ward 17 at Doncaster Royal Infirmary. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of nurses and healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of nurses and healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Develop and implement effective nursing strategies to improve patient outcomes
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Manage and coordinate patient care activities, including admissions, discharges, and transfers
  • Ensure compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and regulations

Requirements

  • Senior Nurse with post-registration experience and speciality experience
  • Ability to undertake 24-hour responsibility for the ward/department
  • Evidence of involvement and leadership in teaching and mentorship
  • Experience of Band 6 Junior Sister/Charge Nurse in an inpatient setting
  • Minimum 4 years post-registration experience with 2 years at Band 6
