The successful candidate will provide exceptional leadership to a designated ward area, overseeing the team and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. This role requires a strong focus on risk assessment and management, as well as a commitment to continuous development and quality improvement.
The post holder will work closely with the Modern Matron to manage the ward budget and make informed decisions to drive service excellence. They will also play a key role in promoting a whole-system approach to healthcare, fostering collaboration and integration across multidisciplinary teams.
Main Responsibilities:- Lead the ward team and promote a culture of excellence in patient care
- Develop and implement effective risk management strategies
- Collaborate with the Modern Matron to manage the ward budget and drive service improvement
- Support the integration of a whole-system approach to healthcare
- Perform delegated duties on behalf of the Modern Matron in their absence
- RMN/RNLD or equivalent Health and Social Care professional qualification
- Evidence of relevant continued professional development
- Relevant additional qualifications such as teaching
- Management and leadership certificate
