School Leader: English Teaching Position
As a highly motivated and experienced Secondary English Teacher, you will play a key role in shaping the education of students with special educational needs. We are seeking a skilled leader to join our team as a Lead English Teacher, responsible for leading the English department and driving academic success. The ideal candidate will have Qualified Teacher Status, a degree in English or a related subject, and experience teaching English at secondary level in an SEN or alternative provision setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing and implementing effective English teaching strategies to meet the needs of students with SEN and SEMH.
  • Leading the English department and ensuring high-quality teaching and learning.
  • Collaborating with the SENCO, leadership team, and staff to develop the curriculum and improve student outcomes.
  • Mentoring staff members and providing guidance on effective English teaching practices.
