About the Role:

Sanctuary Personnel Ltd is seeking a Senior Assessing Social Worker for a full-time position in Northamptonshire, offering a salary up to £48,000 per annum.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To complete assessments of new and existing foster carers, ensuring compliance with regulations and company standards.
  • Gather comprehensive information from potential carers through checks and assessments.
  • Liaise closely with Project Support, Team Manager, and Systemic Family Therapist to review assessment outcomes.
  • Maintain effective communication with Local Authorities Supervising Social Workers and Innovates Therapeutic Team Manager regarding foster carer skills and needs.
  • Provide detailed reports on identified carer needs to inform training and therapeutic intervention planning.
  • Support and upskill Local Authorities Supervising Social Workers in assessments and their roles.
  • Demonstrate cultural sensitivity when working with children and families from diverse backgrounds.
  • Adhere to high standards of record keeping and report writing.
  • Offer on-call support as part of the therapeutic team.

Requirements:

  • Holding a Social Work Qualification or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a Fostering Service setting.
  • Registration with the relevant health professional council or governing body (Social Care England).
