Learning Journey Advocate

We are seeking an experienced Learner Support Specialist to join our team at Burton and South Derbyshire College. As a Progress Coach, you will play a vital role in supporting learners on their educational journey, providing guidance and pastoral care to ensure they achieve their full potential.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively with learners, parents, and staff members. You will also have the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities while maintaining a positive attitude.

Salary: £24,748 per annum (pro rata)
Responsibilities- To deliver intensive support courses, clubs, and one-to-one meetings to learners
- To work closely with internal support systems and external organizations to get support for learners
- To identify barriers to learning and develop strategies to overcome them
- Experience of working with young people in a supportive capacity
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Confident IT practitioner with the ability to adapt to new learning technologies
