About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated Progress Support Specialist to join our team at Burton and South Derbyshire College. As a Progress Coach, you will work closely with learners, parents, and staff members to provide guidance and support throughout their educational journey.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working with young people, excellent communication skills, and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances. You will also have a positive attitude, be motivated, and enthusiastic about making a real difference in the lives of young people.

Salary: £24,748 per annum (pro rata)

Key Responsibilities
  • To oversee the pastoral support and advocate for a cohort of learners
  • To work with internal support systems and external organizations to get support for learners
  • To identify barriers to learning and develop strategies to overcome them
Requirements
  • Experience of working with young people in a supportive capacity
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Confident IT practitioner with the ability to adapt to new learning technologies
