About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Child and Family Support Specialist to join our team at Staffordshire County Council. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a qualified social worker with post-qualifying experience.

As a Child and Family Support Specialist, you will be responsible for managing a complex allocation of children, sharing in day-to-day care management tasks with the team manager, and promoting a restorative approach to working with children and families.

You will also be expected to mentor Social Work colleagues, provide professional supervision to unqualified staff, and lead on or contribute to projects as directed by the team manager.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a Qualified Social Worker with post-qualifying experience, Registered with Social Work England, and have a current UK driving licence and vehicle.

You should also have a desire to work with children and families to give them the right support, at the right time, with the aim of keeping families together where it's safe to do so.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
