About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Family Hub Coach to join our team in East Staffordshire. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for working with children, young people, and their families to achieve positive outcomes and reduce the need for specialist service interventions.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Engage with children, young people, and their parents/carers to ensure access to early and statutory education
  • Complete direct work with families, maximising their involvement in accordance with the child's plan
  • Promote healthy lifestyles, positive relationships, and safe parenting while fostering understanding of cultural and community identity
  • Signpost children and young people to appropriate agencies and activities to enhance their life chances and outcomes

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum NVQ Level 3 in working with children and their families or equivalent qualification/experience
  • Solid experience working directly with children, their families, or carers in a relevant setting
  • Understanding of child development, the effects of stress and trauma, and strategies to address these effects
  • Knowledge of Safeguarding Procedures for Adults and Children
  • Familiarity with key legislation governing children's safeguarding, welfare, and education
