**Job Overview**

Falkirk Council is seeking to recruit a highly skilled practitioner committed to delivering exceptional experiences for children and young people.

This role involves supporting the ASN Service (Central Team) and line-managed by Team Manager ASN. You will work closely with the ASN Transitions Team to enhance transitions for young people with ASN or a disability into adulthood.

The successful candidate should have knowledge and experience of working with children with ASN or a disability, as well as being motivated to support individuals in leading full and positive lives through person-centred practice.

Mobility across the council area is essential.

Our key policy document is Learning to Achieve, co-created by headteachers, teachers, early years practitioners, support staff, parents/carers, pupils, and other partners.

It outlines our expectations for staff, including:

  • Sought-after professional learning opportunities
  • Adopting flexible, creative approaches to meet diverse learner needs
  • Utilizing current educational thinking to inform practice
  • Effective communication with others

Successful applicants progressing to the next stage will be invited to an interview. This part-time position (18.5 hours per week) operates on a term-time basis due to a temporary project until June.

Candidates selected for roles working with children or vulnerable adults will undergo disclosure checks or the new PVG scheme.
