Our care team at East Dunbartonshire Council is dedicated to providing the best possible care and support to our customers. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Carer to join our team and contribute to our mission.

Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join our care team as a Senior Carer. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality care, reviewing and updating Support Plans, and leading by example. You will also support the planning and review of staff rotas to ensure appropriate cover for our customers.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in social care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently as part of a high-performing team. They will be passionate about delivering the best experience of care for our customers and committed to supporting the council's vision.

The salary for this role is approximately £42,500 per year, based on a 35-hour week.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality care and support to customers in East Dunbartonshire
  • Develop and implement Support Plans to meet individual customer needs and desired outcomes
  • Lead by example and mentor junior members of the care team
  • Contribute to the planning and review of staff rotas to ensure effective resource allocation
