Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to provide specialized care to patients, including prescribing pharmaceuticals and performing procedures within their legislated scope of practice.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide Comprehensive Primary Care: Work collaboratively with our inter-professional team to ensure timely responses to patient needs and provide direct care focusing on health promotion and maximizing patient safety and function for frail seniors in our care.
  2. Review and Update Primary Care Activities: Align with organizational goals and projected outcomes to enhance patient care.
  3. Clinical Documentation and Record-Keeping: Develop and implement effective practices.
  4. Stay Up-to-Date: Implement changes that positively impact patient care.
  5. Quality Monitoring and Improvement: Contribute to ongoing initiatives.
  6. Promote Exceptional Quality Programs: Collaborate and lead through exceptional quality programs.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 3 years of geriatric experience, obtained through completion of a recognized Primary Care or Adult Nurse Practitioner program.
  • A Master of Nursing degree is required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of hospital nursing functions, current healthcare needs, and geriatric care principles.

Estimated Salary: $135,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
