Senior Ophthalmic Nurse Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Ophthalmic Nurse to lead our team at Kingston Hospital Foundation Trust.
As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for overseeing the main REU-OPD and Acute Referral Clinic, ensuring that patients receive the highest level of care.
Key Responsibilities- Taking full accountability for each patient's care episode, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, discharge, or referral when needed.
- Collaborating with consultants, lead nurses, and senior sisters to drive the development of ophthalmology services.
- Ensuring the department runs smoothly, meeting national and organisational targets, while providing clinical and managerial leadership to nursing and support staff.
- Participating in formal and informal teaching for nursing staff, acting as a resource and role model for junior team members, and providing them with clinical supervision and support.
A competitive salary of £42,939 to £50,697 per annum, inclusive of HCAS pro rata, reflecting your valuable experience and skills.

RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- Registered NMC level 1 qualification.
- Degree in Nursing.
- Relevant Ophthalmic course.
- Significant years of post-registration experience and recent Ophthalmic experience at Band 5.
