Job Title: Senior General Manager

Fowler Welch is a leading provider of time-critical logistics solutions for major retailers, growers, and manufacturers across the UK. We are seeking an experienced Senior General Manager to join our team and support the Operations Director in the development and delivery of business and strategic plans for our Spalding site.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to achieve business objectives and improve efficiency.
  • Manage and oversee the management team to ensure effective leadership and decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards, including BRC requirements.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders to drive business growth and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Manage budgets and financial performance to ensure profitability and efficiency.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Lead and manage a team of experienced professionals to achieve business objectives.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in operational management, preferably in the FMCG industry.
  • Strong commercial business acumen and ability to develop and implement business strategies.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
