Acoustic Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled Acoustic Scientist to join our team at Gardline, a leading provider of marine services. As an Acoustic Scientist, you will play a critical role in providing acoustic modeling support and contributing to the development of marine acoustic equipment and mitigation functions.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing acoustic modeling support using Python, MATLAB, and other relevant software packages.
- Managing technical projects, including providing support during sailing operations.
- Assisting with the development of new marine acoustic equipment.
- Designing equipment survey packages and infrastructure for new and existing vessels or work platforms.
- Providing local and remote troubleshooting and technical support for in-field operations.
- Planning mobilizations, creating deck plans, lifting plans, and attending project meetings.
- Advising on legislative compliance and providing technical expertise on marine acoustic mitigation measures.
- Supporting research and development to introduce new products into the operational environment.
Requirements:
- BEng/BSc in a relevant discipline, such as Acoustics, Engineering Electronics & Mechanical, or similar.
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role or as a senior operator in acoustics, geophysical engineering, or data processing.
- Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, or similar software packages.
- Experience with multiple large-scale equipment mobilizations.
- Client interfacing experience as a technical authority.
