Acoustic Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled Acoustic Scientist to join our team at Gardline Group. As an Acoustic Scientist, you will play a critical role in providing acoustic modeling support and contributing to the development of marine acoustic equipment and mitigation functions.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide acoustic modeling support using Python, MATLAB, and other relevant software packages.
- Manage assigned projects, including providing in-depth support during sailing operations.
- Assist with providing technical training for acoustic equipment users.
- Advise departmental managers on equipment and department technical capabilities.
- Support the continuous development of current marine acoustic equipment.
- Design equipment survey packages and infrastructure for new and existing vessels or work platforms.
- Provide local and remote troubleshooting and technical support for in-field operations.
- Plan mobilisations, create deck plans, lifting plans, and attend project meetings as needed.
- Advise on the capabilities of PAMS regarding country-specific legislation on marine acoustic mitigation measures.
- Support R&D to introduce new products into the operational environment.
- BEng/BSc in a relevant discipline (Acoustics, Engineering Electronics & Mechanical, or similar).
- Acoustics related degree or academic course (desirable).
- Technical knowledge of acoustics hardware from industry.
- 5+ years of experience in the field as a senior operator in some capacity.
- Use of acoustics software packages - Python, MATLAB, or similar.
- Experience with multiple large-scale equipment mobilisations.
- Client interfacing experience as a technical authority.
- Driving license.
