Acoustic Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled Acoustic Scientist to join our team at Gardline, a leading provider of marine services. As an Acoustic Scientist, you will play a critical role in providing acoustic modeling support and contributing to the development of marine acoustic equipment and mitigation functions.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing acoustic modeling support using Python, MATLAB, and other relevant software packages.
- Managing technical projects, including providing support during sailing operations.
- Assisting with the development of new acoustic equipment and technologies.
- Designing and implementing survey packages and infrastructure for new and existing vessels.
- Providing technical training and support for acoustic equipment users.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with legislative requirements and company QA and HSSE procedures.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A BEng/BSc degree in a relevant discipline, such as Acoustics, Engineering, or Electronics.
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role or as a senior operator in acoustics or geophysical engineering.
- Strong knowledge of acoustics hardware and software, including Python, MATLAB, and other relevant packages.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
