Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Therapy Team Manager to lead our Community Occupational Therapy and Visual Impairment team. As a key member of our Adult Social Care team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality occupational therapy services to adults and children in Cheshire West and Chester.


About the Role: As a Team Manager, you will work closely with managers and professionals in the team and across housing, health, and social directorates to deliver good outcomes for adults and children. You will play a critical role in supporting the team to develop creative and innovative solutions to meet the outcomes for adults and children.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Lead a team of occupational therapists and visual impairment specialists to deliver specialist equipment, adaptations, skills gain, and risk management programmes.
  • Work with local people to understand their care and support needs and help to identify options available to them.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to improve outcomes for adults and children.
  • Collaborate with other teams and agencies to ensure a seamless service for our clients.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, and contribute to the development of our Enabling Great Lives strategy.

About You: To be successful in this role, you will need to have a degree or diploma in OT, be registered with HCPC, and have experience of working in a Social Care and/or Health community setting. You will also need to be able to assess and manage complex clinical risk, and have the ability to cope positively with change.
