Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Therapy Assistant to join our Community Pain Management Service at Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Therapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting patients with complex pain needs, working closely with our qualified therapists to deliver high-quality care.

Main Duties

  • Assist in the management of a defined workload of patients within the Care Community, following triage by the qualified therapist.
  • Work independently and support Band 3 Therapy Assistants as required, taking responsibility for the ordering and stock control of materials and equipment.
  • Modify interventions and programmes within defined parameters and within your scope of practice, ensuring patient safety and dignity is always maintained.
  • Complete initial assessments and commission a range of basic equipment and adaptations as appropriate to the service user, completing necessary risk assessments before prescribing basic equipment and reviewing them on a timely basis.
  • Attend multidisciplinary meetings and participate in clinical decision-making processes for individual patients as delegated by the qualified staff.
  • Ensure accurate, up-to-date clinical records are kept, always ensuring their security and confidentiality.
