Role Overview

Cheshire West and Chester Council is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapy Team Manager to lead our specialist services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality occupational therapy services to adults and children in Cheshire West and Chester.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of occupational therapists and visual impairment specialists to deliver specialist interventions that enable adults and children to live great lives.
  • Work closely with managers and professionals across housing, health, and social directorates to deliver good outcomes for adults and children.
  • Liaise and work effectively with clients, their families/carers, other professionals, and agencies to achieve the best outcomes for people.
  • Assess and manage complex clinical risk, and promote positive changes to make a difference.

Requirements

  • Degree or diploma in OT (Essential).
  • Up to date registration with HCPC (Essential).
  • Experience of working in a Social Care and/or Health community setting.
  • Strong leadership and ability to supervise and manage a specialist team.
  • Awareness of importance of multi-disciplinary working and an integrated approach.
