Consultant - Geriatric Medicine Division

The Geriatric Medicine division at The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust is actively looking for a dedicated professional to enhance their team. The ideal candidate will be tasked with delivering exceptional healthcare services to the senior demographic catered to by the hospital, guiding a multidisciplinary team, and fostering advancements within the service area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver integrated and patient-focused care to elderly individuals
  • Inspire and lead the multidisciplinary team to ensure effective patient outcomes
  • Establish collaborative relationships with both internal and external partners
  • Participate in service enhancement initiatives to address future demands
  • Assist colleagues in the provision of healthcare services

Qualifications and Experience:

Training

  • Training and experience equivalent to UK CCT in geriatric medicine

Registration

  • Inclusion on GMC Specialist Register in geriatric medicine or eligibility for registration

Educational Background

  • MRCP is mandatory
  • ALS certification is preferred

Clinical Expertise

  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience in Geriatric and Acute Medicine
  • Experience in evaluating clinical guidelines
