Medical Consultant - Elderly Medicine Department
The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust is seeking a highly motivated individual to join their team as a Geriatrician Medical Consultant. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to the elderly population served by the hospital, leading a multidisciplinary team, and driving innovations within the service area.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide coordinated and person-centered services to elderly patients
- Lead and motivate the multidisciplinary team for effective patient interventions
- Develop working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Engage in service development to meet future challenges
- Support colleagues in the delivery of services
Requirements:
Training and Experience:
- Training and experience equivalent to UK CCT in geriatric medicine
Registration and Qualifications:
- Entry on GMC Specialist Register in geriatric medicine or eligibility for registration
- MRCP required
- ALS certification desirable
Clinical Expertise:
- Broad knowledge and experience in Geriatric and Acute Medicine
- Experience in guideline appraisals
