Job Overview

The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Locum Consultant Medical Oncologist to join our team. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients, attending multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings, and supporting our Acute Oncology Service.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide expert medical care to patients with cancer, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up
  • Attend MDT meetings to discuss patient cases and develop treatment plans
  • Support the Acute Oncology Service in providing care to patients with acute oncology needs
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and experiences
Requirements
  • Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) with a license to practice
  • MBBS or equivalent medical degree
  • MRCP or equivalent specialist qualification
  • CCT or equivalent specialist training
  • Higher degree or equivalent (e.g., MD, PhD)
