Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Director to provide strategic leadership and support to our clients' cross-functional teams in the pharmaceutical industry. As a Medical Director, you will be responsible for developing and implementing medical strategies, leading agile teams, and managing end-to-end processes to achieve high-quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Manage, lead, and motivate a high-performing team in a fast-paced environment, including budgetary responsibility for medical cost centers.
    • Develop long-term strategy, lead agile teams, and resource and manage end-to-end processes for high-quality outcomes.
  • Medical Strategy and Governance
    • Develop and implement medical strategies to support business goals and objectives.
    • Lead the development and implementation of medical governance processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaboration and Partnership
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement medical strategies and plans.
    • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to identify and address medical needs and opportunities.
  • Business Development and Support
    • Support business development through project evaluation, due diligence, and providing technical inputs to potential projects and product launches.
    • Provide and coordinate support to all departments, including marketing and commercial, across all aspects of the business.
  • Compliance and Regulatory
    • Understand and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including pharmacovigilance and compliance with the ABPI Code of Practice/Blue Book, Human Medicines regulations 2012, PAGB code, IPHA Code, and Statutory requirements.
    • Manage and provide input on compliance with regulations to Medical and Marketing Departments.
  • Representation and Communication
    • Represent medical affairs at relevant UK, IRL, and EU/Global Meetings and communicate outputs, engage with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Manage and provide strategic leadership to MSL/Scientific/Medical Advisor team.
  • Delegation and Support
    • Deputize for Cluster lead UK & Ireland Medical on EU Medical leadership team as appropriate.
    • Manage compliance of promotional materials with necessary regulations.
