The Role
This fixed-term contract provides legal and commercial support during maternity leave. You will provide paralegal assistance with complex commercial contracts, including providing legal advice under the supervision of Legal Counsel during tender and project delivery stages.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting contract reviews at the enquiry stage.
- Highlighting concerns within Terms and Conditions to the Bid Manager.
- Writing Technical Queries for submission to the Client.
- Closing out issues once responses received.
- Preparing, amending, and advising on contracts and subcontracts.
- Liaising with project teams, customers, and other stakeholders as required.
- Handling supplementary documentation such as parent company guarantees, non-disclosure agreements, third-party rights, and warranties.
- Maintaining accurate record-keeping of contracts and associated documents.
- Managing administrative aspects of projects in relation to legal documents.
- Coordinating with internal teams, including IT, HR, and finance where required.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
Salary and Benefits
The salary for this position is £32,000 - £35,000 per year, inclusive of a bonus scheme. Additional benefits include free parking.
Requirements
The ideal candidate has:
- A law degree.
- Experience working with complex commercial contracts.
- Desirable: Construction/Nuclear experience.
