Job Overview

In collaboration with the Buyer and under the guidance of the Purchasing Manager, this role is dedicated to managing a specific portfolio of suppliers and commodities, including assisting in overseeing indirect business spend, in alignment with TVS' quality, service, and cost objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and execute cost-saving initiatives contributing to departmental objectives, ensuring alignment with TVS' quality, service, and cost objectives.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to enhance collaboration and performance, fostering value-added relationships with cross-functional departments and suppliers.
  • Maintain the Indirect Contracts Log to ensure accurate and up-to-date records, ensuring the day-to-day adherence to purchasing processes and promoting compliance across the organization.
  • Prepare comprehensive tender documents for Indirect spend categories with the guidance of the buyers, providing support to operational supply functions in resolving issues and optimizing processes.
  • Process Purchase Order Requests for Indirect Spend, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and handle RFQs and other client requests efficiently.
  • Provide commercial analysis to inform decision-making, leveraging intermediate proficiency in Excel for data analysis and reporting, and fostering a professional and ethical approach to business dealings.
  • Ensure the portfolio of suppliers and commodities is managed effectively, aligning with TVS' quality, service, and cost objectives.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in developing commodity sourcing strategies with a focus on cost reduction is desirable, with a strong administration skills to manage documentation and processes.
  • Excellent communication skills to facilitate effective collaboration, with a commitment to continuous improvement in processes and outcomes.
  • Numerate with a keen understanding of financial principles, and commercial awareness to navigate market dynamics and industry trends.
  • Team player with the ability to work collaboratively, and results-driven mindset to meet and exceed objectives.
