We are seeking an experienced Technical Analyst to join our Digital Preservation team at the Cambridge University Library. The successful candidate will play a key role in establishing services for digital collection materials, including transferring data from handheld storage carriers and preparing digital materials for ingest to a preservation workflow.

About the Role:

The position involves working as part of the wider Digital Preservation Programme team and liaising with colleagues across the library. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of cloud-native and open-source services to ensure current and ongoing access to digital materials.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Knowledge and/or experience in understanding the risks and vulnerabilities of data and digital technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of digital formats and metadata.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
