About the Role

The Access Officer will be responsible for coordinating and running a strand of the Access Team's programme of centrally-run projects as part of UCL Eastman Dental Institute's widening participation strategy and Access and Participation Plan. The programme aims to engage highly able prospective students from underrepresented groups, teachers, and HE advisers in various activities, including online and in-person events, taster and information and guidance events, Year 12 Summer Schools, school visits, and working with student ambassadors.

About You

The successful applicant will need to be able to work effectively in a large team and have an enthusiasm for widening participation in Higher Education and experience of working with secondary schools and children or young people. We are looking for someone who can demonstrate their experience of coordinating projects and events, and their ability to manage their own workload and prioritize a high volume of complex work effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and run a strand of the Access Team's programme of centrally-run projects
  • Develop and implement strategies to engage highly able prospective students from underrepresented groups
  • Work with student ambassadors to deliver events and activities
  • Manage and prioritize a high volume of complex work
  • Collaborate with the Access Team to achieve programme goals
