Patient Access Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Patient Access Officer to join our team at Cleveland Clinic London. As a Patient Access Officer, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional patient experiences, ensuring seamless registration and access to our clinical services.
Key Responsibilities- Meet and greet all outpatients and visitors, providing a warm and welcoming experience
- Facilitate same-day and future appointment requests and referrals, ensuring timely and efficient access to care
- Verify and collect outstanding patient demographic and financial information, including insurance authorizations and payments
- Assist with patient check-in, ensuring accurate and efficient registration processes
- Liaise with insurance companies and third-party payers to ensure relevant authorizations are in place
- Collect payments using our integrated payment systems, managing cash drawers and adhering to cash reconciliation and management processes
- Provide cost estimates to self-pay patients, promoting transparency and financial clarity
- Encourage patients to sign up for our CCL MyChart App, empowering them to manage their healthcare information
- Communicate effectively with other hospital departments to deliver a seamless patient journey
- Cross-train across various Patient Access functions, including Contact Centre, Patient Registration, Cashiering, and Pre-Registration
- Relevant experience in a patient-facing environment, preferably in a hospital setting
- Experience with patient bookings via hospital computer software, with a strong understanding of outpatient scheduling
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Proven ability to adapt to new challenges, step outside comfort levels, and assist the team as needed
