Job Title: Paediatrician Locum Consultant

Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paediatrician to join their team as a Locum Consultant. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of the Paediatric department.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert clinical care to patients in the General Paediatric ward and admissions, Level 1 + Neonatal unit, Labour ward, and Transitional care.
  • Participate in on-call duties at consultant level, covering the General Paediatric ward and admissions, Level 1 + Neonatal unit, Labour ward, and Transitional care.
  • Contribute to the development of the Paediatric department, including participating in audits and research.
Requirements:
  • MRCPCH or equivalent qualification.
  • CCT Paediatrics or within 6 months of CCT or equivalent.
  • On the GMC Specialist Register for Paediatrics.
  • Postgraduate qualification in Child Health or related subjects, education, or quality improvement.
Desirable Skills:
  • Broad training in General Paediatrics.
  • Level 3 Neonatal Experience and Training.
  • Training in Developmental and Community Paediatrics appropriate for a General Paediatrician.
  • Safeguarding training and experience.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the challenges of management.
  • Demonstrate an interest in education and teaching.
Working Arrangements:

The successful candidate will be required to travel to and from the hospital for the purposes of fulfilling job requirements.
