Community Menopause Support Liaison

We are seeking friendly and caring individuals to help establish menopause support groups in Stoke-on-Trent libraries.
About the Role:- Provide a warm and welcoming space for individuals experiencing menopause symptoms, fostering a sense of community and understanding.
- Engage with group members, offering emotional support and guidance, leveraging excellent social skills and communication abilities.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance knowledge of community support services, ensuring volunteers are well-equipped to provide effective assistance.
- Attend regular meetings and wellbeing sessions to maintain volunteer engagement, promoting a culture of care and support.
- Friendly and approachable demeanor, essential for building strong relationships with group members.
- Excellent social skills and communication abilities, enabling effective interaction with diverse individuals.
- Patient and empathetic listening skills, critical for providing emotional support and guidance.
- Knowledge of local community support services (desired), allowing volunteers to make informed referrals and connections.
- 12-month commitment (preferably), ensuring stability and consistency in the role.
- Training and support to ensure success in the role, empowering volunteers to make a meaningful impact.
- Regular meetings and wellbeing sessions, prioritizing volunteer well-being and satisfaction.
- Vehicle travel expenses reimbursement, recognizing the value of time and effort invested by volunteers.
- A DBS check will be submitted on your behalf, streamlining the application process and ensuring a smooth onboarding experience.
