Vast Services is dedicated to investing in communities, and we are seeking enthusiastic and caring individuals to join our team as Menopause Support Group Volunteers.

About the Role:
  • Establish and lead menopause support groups in Stoke-on-Trent libraries, creating safe spaces for individuals to share experiences and receive support.
  • Develop strong relationships with group members, utilizing excellent interpersonal skills and active listening to foster a sense of community and understanding.
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance knowledge of community support services, ensuring volunteers can effectively connect individuals with resources.
  • Attend regular meetings and wellbeing sessions, prioritizing volunteer well-being and satisfaction.
Requirements:
  • Friendly and approachable demeanor, essential for building trust and rapport with group members.
  • Excellent social skills and communication abilities, enabling effective interaction with diverse individuals.
  • Patient and empathetic listening skills, critical for providing emotional support and guidance.
  • Knowledge of local community support services (desired), allowing volunteers to make informed referrals and connections.
  • 12-month commitment (preferably), ensuring stability and consistency in the role.
