Job Title: Dungeons and Dragons Facilitator
Description:
We are seeking a skilled facilitator to support Dungeons and Dragons Gaming Groups in libraries, focusing on adult wellbeing as part of the CLaY: Communities, Libraries and You project.
The successful candidate will be provided with resources, materials, and equipment for groups, as well as free tea and coffee.
Responsibilities:
- Support participants in developing their social skills through engaging games and activities
- Provide a warm and welcoming environment for adults to share experiences and learn from each other
- Cultivate patience and active listening skills to support participants' needs
- Leverage knowledge and skills in the field to facilitate group sessions
- Apply initiative and creativity to enhance the overall gaming experience
Requirements:
- Friendly and outgoing personality
- Excellent social skills with ability to engage with diverse groups
- Warm and caring demeanor with strong listening skills
- Basic knowledge of Dungeons and Dragons or willingness to learn
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
Working Arrangements:
This is a volunteer opportunity, with estimated time commitment varying depending on group schedules. Opportunities may include evening or weekend shifts.
Estimated Salary: £12 per hour
Location: City-wide (Stoke on Trent City Council Libraries Division)
