About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Sodexo Live. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional food experiences to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Delivery and Innovation: Develop and implement food strategies that meet and exceed client expectations, staying ahead of market trends and consumer needs.
  • Culinary Leadership: Collaborate with the Executive Head Chef and Head Chef to drive culinary excellence, ensuring consistency and quality in all food offerings.
  • Menu Development: Create and present innovative menu designs at client tastings, showcasing your culinary expertise and passion for food.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with internal departments, including Marketing and Operations, to define and deliver business requirements.
  • Food Safety and Compliance: Ensure adherence to company and statutory regulations, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Supplier Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to support business strategy and objectives.
  • Talent Development: Identify and develop culinary talent, ensuring succession planning and growth within the team.
Requirements
  • Culinary Experience: Proven track record in high-volume, large venue catering, with experience in fine dining and contract catering.
  • Leadership and Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships and lead a team.
  • Financial Awareness: Understanding of food profit and loss accounts, with the ability to control food costs and generate positive food margins.
  • Qualifications: Level 3 Food Hygiene qualification (or willingness to obtain).
