The West Lancashire Borough Council is seeking a Compliance Data professional to fill a challenging and exciting role in our Repairs and Servicing Team. As an asbestos compliance officer, you will play a key part in delivering compliance in relation to asbestos across the Council's housing stock.

Your primary responsibility will be to work with the Compliance Delivery Manager (Housing) to ensure that all relevant legislation, regulation, and guidance is adhered to. This includes managing contractors who undertake asbestos removal and surveying, and promoting best practice throughout the team.

Key responsibilities include conducting asbestos monitoring surveys, inspecting contractors' remediation work, and providing expert advice and guidance to key stakeholders. You will also be responsible for influencing and promoting asbestos compliance within the Council.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in health and safety, excellent communication and organisational skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. They will also have a strong understanding of the importance of complying with statutory regulations and guidelines.

The salary for this role is £40,000-£50,000 per annum, depending on experience. The West Lancashire Borough Council offers a range of benefits, including pension scheme, annual leave, and training opportunities.
