The West Lancashire Borough Council's Repairs and Servicing Team is seeking an experienced Asbestos Compliance Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of asbestos-related legislation, regulations, and guidelines, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

This role involves working closely with the Compliance Delivery Manager (Housing) to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, as well as promoting and influencing asbestos compliance and associated procedures within the organization.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Conducting asbestos surveys and removing asbestos-containing materials
  • Developing and implementing policies and procedures related to asbestos compliance
  • Providing training and guidance to staff on asbestos-related matters
