About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Team Leader to join our team at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our theatre operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth delivery of high-quality patient care in our operating departments.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in clinical leadership, with experience of managing teams and leading change initiatives. You will be responsible for supporting the Team Leader, taking managerial, clinical, and professional responsibility for a team of practitioners, and ensuring the provision of high-quality patient care in the most efficient and safe manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and deputise for the Team Leader, taking managerial, clinical, and professional responsibility for a team of practitioners.
  • Support staff in ensuring the provision of high-quality patient care in the most efficient and safe manner.
  • Lead by example, promoting a positive and supportive work environment, and encouraging high standards of practice.
  • Develop and implement effective plans to improve theatre efficiency and patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
Requirements
  • Current level one NMC registration or HPC registration part 1.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development and recent study relevant to theatres/recovery.
  • A Teaching/assessing/leadership qualification.
  • Junior/Supervisory management course.
