Job Title: Deputy Planning Team Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Team Leader to join our team at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our clinical team, you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our theatre departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead by example and promote a positive influence to improve theatre efficiency and patient care.
  • Motivate and support staff to ensure the provision of high-quality patient care in accordance with Trust policies and procedures.
  • Take managerial, clinical, and professional responsibility for a team of practitioners, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Work closely with the existing team structure to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Develop and implement initiatives to improve theatre efficiency and patient care, using your clinical knowledge and experience to inform your decisions.

Requirements:

  • Considerable experience within the recovery aspects of the operating department, with a strong understanding of emergency surgery and clinical skills.
  • Proven track record of delivering initiatives and new ways of working, with a focus on improving patient care and theatre efficiency.
  • Recognised mentor qualification and experience of teaching and clinical supervision within a clinical setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work under pressure and use your own initiative.
