Deputy Team Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Team Leader to join our team at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our clinical team, you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our theatre departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Team Leader in managing a team of practitioners, ensuring the provision of high-quality patient care in a safe and efficient manner.
- Take managerial, clinical, and professional responsibility for a team of practitioners, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Develop and implement effective plans to improve theatre efficiency, working closely with the existing team structure.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the effective use of resources and the achievement of departmental goals.
- Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to junior staff members, promoting their professional development and growth.
Requirements:
- Considerable experience within the recovery aspects of the operating department, with a strong understanding of emergency surgery and clinical skills.
- Proven ability to lead change and deliver initiatives, with a track record of improving theatre efficiency and patient care.
- Recognised mentor qualification and experience in teaching and clinical supervision.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work under pressure and use own initiative.
