Service Desk Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Service Desk Agent to join our team at Pertemps Thames Water. As a Service Desk Agent, you will be the first point of contact for IT issues from our user community, providing support to management and ensuring that all incidents are resolved in a timely and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities- Provide first and second-line support for IT-related incidents, including troubleshooting of in-house software, O365 suite, and hardware issues.
- Receive, log, and manage calls from internal employees via various communication channels.
- Continuously improve incident resolution times and identify opportunities to increase first-time fix rates.
- Take ownership of user incidents and follow up on the status of incidents on behalf of the user, communicating progress in a timely manner.
- Work closely with the Incident Management Request Fulfilment team to improve the quality of information used by 3rd party support teams to improve incident resolution times.
- Knowledge of security processes and experience in a relevant customer-facing role.
- Excellent customer service skills and telephone manner, with some experience in an IT Service Desk role.
- Experience of working in a fast-paced office environment, with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks at any one time.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and be responsive to staff needs.
- Competitive salary up to £36,000 per annum, depending on experience.
